No Swiss Fudge Cookies!
The workers of Stella D’Oro have been on strike since August. The company was bought from Kraft in 2006 by a private equity firm, which promptly set about the profitable business of busting the unions.
The striking workers are calling for a boycott of Stella D’Oro. They’re also holding a big rally on Saturday at 11am by the plant in the Bronx.

(Since I was a kid, one of the pleasures of the drive up the Major Deegan—to the extent that it makes sense to speak of the drive up the Major Deegan in those terms—was the smell as we passed by the Stella D’Oro bakery. Scrumptious. Now that too is ruined.)
